We all want to enjoy hassle-free motorhome holidays, but what do you do when the engine light suddenly ignites or you break down altogether? This article explains the steps to take to get the right help when you need it.
There could be many reasons why an engine light comes up on your dash. Unfortunately, TrailLite does not have diagnostic capability for engines and we will be unable to help you, but the following pointers should help.
The first thing to do is to consult your vehicle user manual to see what the error light means. There could (hopefully) be an easy fix to the issue.
If it's something more serious, you will need to contact the local agent for the engine manufacturer (Ford, Mercedes, Fiat, Iveco etc). They will have the appropriate diagnostic equipment that they can plug into your engine to find out exactly what's wrong and give you the assistance you need.

Warning Lights
Generally, an orange light suggests that something needs attention as soon as practical. However, a red light means that an issue needs urgent attention and possibly should not be driven further, without professional advice from the engine's agent.
If you are unsure who your local agent is, check your vehicle manual/windscreen service sticker or you can google search to find an agent nearby.
If you have no internet coverage or are unsure, please call our TrailLite Service Centre on 09 237 0187, and we can help look this up for you.
